# ETL: BrowserPatch

> Extract the browser patch or build number from a user agent string using the ua_parser library. Use for detailed browser analysis in ETL jobs.

## Description

Extract browser patch/build number from user agent string, based on [ua\_parser](https://github.com/tobie/ua-parser).

## Syntax

`BrowserPatch(user_agent_string)`

## Examples

`BrowserPatch('Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_8) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/27.0.1453.93 Safari/537.36')` returns '1453'

## Return value datatype

string

## Notes

Returns null if browser patch number can't be extracted from string.

## Impact of null value

If input is null, returns null.
