# ETL: EXP

> Calculate Euler's number (e) raised to the power of the input expression. Use EXP for exponential growth and decay calculations in ETL jobs.

## Description

Returns Euler's number e raised to the power of the expression

## Syntax

`EXP(numeric_expression)`

## Examples

`EXP(1)` returns Euler's number (2.71828…)

## Return value datatype

Double

## Impact of null value

If input is null, returns null.
