# ETL: IsBase64

> Check whether a string expression is valid Base64-encoded content. Returns true or false for input validation in Integrate.io ETL data pipelines.

## Description

Returns true if the string\_expression is Base64 encoded.

## Syntax

`IsBase64(string_expression)`

## Examples

`IsBase64('aGVsbG8gd29ybGQ=')` returns true

## Return value datatype

boolean

## Impact of null value

If input is null, returns null.
