# ETL: MCP Quickstart

> Connect the Integrate.io ETL MCP server to Claude Code with OAuth in about five minutes, then verify the connection works.

This quickstart connects one client, Claude Code, end to end in about five minutes using OAuth browser sign-in. There is no token to copy or paste. Once you have this working, use the [connect hub](https://www.integrate.io/docs/etl/mcp-connect.md) to set up any other client.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The MCP server is enabled per account. If OAuth sign-in never opens a browser or you see a metadata error, the feature may not be enabled yet. Contact Integrate.io to enable it for your account. See the [Overview](https://www.integrate.io/docs/etl/integrateio-mcp-server.md#prerequisites) for prerequisites.

**1. Add the MCP server**

Claude Code has native remote MCP support, so no bridge is needed. Add the server with no token:

```bash theme={null}
claude mcp add --transport http integrateio \
  https://api.xplenty.com/YOUR_ACCOUNT_ID/api/mcp
```

Replace `YOUR_ACCOUNT_ID` with your account subdomain or numeric id (the value in your dashboard URL).

**2. Authenticate**

Run `/mcp` in Claude Code and choose **Authenticate** for the `integrateio` server. Claude Code opens your browser to the Integrate.io consent screen. Sign in if you aren't already, then click **Authorize**. The browser hands the client back its credentials and you can close the tab.

**3. Verify the connection**

Back in Claude Code, run `/mcp` again. The `integrateio` server should show as connected with its tools available. Try a read-only prompt:

> List the workspaces in my Integrate.io account.

Claude invokes `tools/call` with `list_workspaces` and returns the response payload. If you see your workspaces, the connection works.

## Next steps

* Connecting a different client? Start at the [connect hub](https://www.integrate.io/docs/etl/mcp-connect.md) and pick your client.
* Want the auth details (OAuth vs Personal Access Token, revoking access)? See [Authentication](https://www.integrate.io/docs/etl/mcp-authentication.md).
* Something not connecting? See [Troubleshooting](https://www.integrate.io/docs/etl/mcp-troubleshooting.md).
